Cardiologist Appointment

We just got back from Marley's appointment. Everything went really well! First off, she is now 12 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long! Not my little newborn anymore! She still has the VSD, but the cardiologist doesn't expect it to cause any problems and for it to close. (hopefully sometime this year) We just need to watch it and when her teeth come in, make sure they stay really clean. Just so the bacteria in her mouth that clings to the teeth, doesn't get into her bloodstream. And if she has any dental work or surgeries, she will need a dose of antibiotics beforehand. But hopefully this closes up really soon. He was really nice and thorough although he didn't understand why she didn't have a "soothie" or why she didn't like laying on her back. (uh...I'M her soothie and I hold her a lot okay?)

Good news. I had two daughters and myself with medication needs for hearts because of Mitral Value Prolapse conditions. The two daughter grew out of it. With her being so young it will probably close before anything is needed to require antibiotics.
She is beautiful and growing way too fast.
